Use LendMe as an extra way to reach local customers, while hiring out through your own registered business.
Who it’s for
Hire shops, equipment suppliers, party and event companies, camping and sports stores, and any other business with items to lend. If you have an ABN and gear that sits idle, LendMe is another way for local customers to find you.
How it works
- You lend through your own registered business. Hire fees are paid to your business through Stripe, and you remain responsible for your own tax, GST, insurance and invoices.
- Your listings and profile show a Registered business badge, your business name and your ABN, so customers know who they’re dealing with.
- Customers can filter search results to Registered businesses only.
- Bookings, messages, pickup details, bonds, reviews and cancellations work exactly as they do for everyone else.
What it costs
Joining is free. LendMe’s fee is currently 10% of the hire fee, taken from your earnings only when you are paid.
How to apply
- Create an account and verify your identity (we need to know who is applying for the business).
- Open your Profile and complete the Registered Business form with your business name, ABN and optional website and phone.
- The LendMe team checks your ABN and approves your application, and we email you.
- Set up payouts with your business’s details so payments go to your business.
Good to know
- Approval isn’t a guarantee that a business or its items are safe. The Terms and Safety Rules apply to everyone.
- You must hold any licences and insurance your business needs to hire out items.
- We may remove Registered Business status if the rules aren’t followed.
